Don’t let the pictures fool you. This was one of the nastiest places we’ve stayed. Neskowin Resort. Gross, dirty and... literally falling apart. Also what they fail to tell you is that people live in some of these condos, so you have people making all kinds of noise until three in the morning, and the pillows were like rocks woke up with headaches two days in a row. They charge a cleaning fee but you’re cleaning, makes no sense. Found dog and human hair in the bed yuck! 😆read more

We have always enjoyed the Chelan condos at Neskowin and stayed many times before. Sadly, on our last trip the condo we... rented was far below expectations. It’s clear from the guest book some people enjoyed their time in condo #8 but for us it did not meet the most basic level cleanliness or general upkeep of a vacation rental. It felt like more like a Motel 6 hotel than a coastal retreat.
Here’s a breakdown of our experience with condo #8.
Overall pretty run down. Worn down/broken hearth, peeling paint, water damaged walls and more. Vintage countertop & vanity top is cute.
Spiderwebs and spiders in multiple locations inside the bedrooms and main area.
Bugs (dead and alive) & hair on walls in bathroom. Towels hung on the same walls.
Peeling paint over the sink.
Solid mold growth in bathroom.
Rugs in each room are very dirty.
Some sort of smeared dirt on bed linens in back bedroom.
Dingy and smoke damaged fireplace and buoy mirror.
Fireplace lighter didn’t work and the “big” box of matches was completely empty.
Absolutely gross vent above the stove.
Doors rattle all night. (Didn’t bother me but might be good to know for light sleepers).
Heater is super loud.
Heater stopped working. Maintenance came to fix it but it stopped again about an hour later. We chose to be chilly and make due with the fireplace because front desk made it clear they were not interested in fixing issues.
Water leak damage in the back bedroom with some sort of orange drip coming out of the wall.
One comfortable loveseat. Other seating not great (other “loveseat” is actually two outdoor patio chairs that don’t stay together).
No additional bedding if it gets cold.
Heat in bedrooms works well.
Great new TV with Netflix.
Customer service is lacking, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Very similar experience described by others here when they run into issues.
At the end of the day, for almost $600 for two nights, I expect a little more and won’t be staying here again.read more

We have stayed at the condos, resort and houses in Neskowin through Grey Fox Rentals. Every visit has been excellent... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They are clean units and houses. It is such a beautiful place to stay and enjoy slightly out of Lincoln City. It’s a definite must for the Oregon Coast!!read more

Getting ready to return to our "home away from home" beach house for the 6th time in as many years. There is nothing... like early morning walks with the beach almost to yourself, watching the sun go down around a fire pit or in the hot tub on the deck and the best part - lots of room for family, friends and pets. We can't imagine staying any where else. Always a pleasure to do business with Grey Fox.read more
