Visit our house on Cascade Head and enjoy the spectacular scenery of this area! Easy access to the Salmon River and estuary, hikes, pool (in season) and beach. Cascade Head is a beautiful headland, protected on virtually all sides by public and private efforts. We come here often and make the effort to ensure that the house is comfortable and relaxing for our guests. The house sleeps 6 adults comfortably, and also has a bunk bed. There is additional futon space in the play room. Two baths, pellet stove, gas BBQ, crab rings and crab pots, VHS and DVD (no broadcast television), wireless internet, and plenty of games, including the world’s most awesome backgammon table. Cascade Head Ranch is a quiet place that is best enjoyed by family and friends who will enjoy spending the evening playing games, cooking, watching movies and spend the days hiking, playing on the beach, taking classes through the Sitka Center or exploring nearby coastal landmarks. While this is not a beach town, there are several good cafes and restaurants within driving distance, Lincoln City, Neskowin and Pacific City are nearby. The Nature Conservancy protects and manages much of the headland, including excellent hiking trails that afford access to breath-taking views and diverse flora and fauna. Access to the trail is ¼ mile away. Other nearby hikes abound, including Hart’s Cove and Drift Creek. The house is next door to the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, and would be a perfect place to stay while taking classes.
No smoking or pets, accommodates a maximum of 6 guests and 3 cars.
